Vaping Effective in Reducing Use of Tobacco

The Watertown Daily News...How is it that the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom is publishing 200-page studies proving that electronic cigarettes are 95 percent less harmful than smoking, yet our own Food and Drug Administration here in the United States is enacting strict regulations that will effectively kill the entire industry? Even the state Department of Health is airing public service announcements demonizing electronic cigarettes by citing a study showing that teen use of the devices has doubled since 2014.

What they don’t admit is that teen smoking is also at an all-time low (4.3 percent). Might it have something to do with the fact that the federal and state governments are more concerned with the billions of dollars in tax revenue they’ll lose if people quit smoking?

Fortunately, there are physicians in the Jefferson County area who realize that electronic cigarettes work to quit smoking and that tell their patients to give it a try. If I knew which doctors were referring their patients to our stores, I’d thank them, provide them with informational materials and might even add them to my Christmas card list!
